About this programme
The permanent collection exhibition traces the Istanbul Museum of Painting and Sculpture from its 1915 beginnings and 1937 opening to its present home. Bringing together part of a collection of about 12,000 works, it aims to reveal overlooked aspects of 150 years of Ottoman and Republican painting and sculpture.
